My Experience of Lion’s Club School and College
Presently I am leading a retried life. I have served in this institution as a teacher for about sixteen years. It is very difficult for me to forget my experiences in this institution. I had the good fortune to serve here for five more years after my retirement. Even after my Final retirement in 2015, I still feel myself as if I am amongst you all. Lion’s Club Education Institution was not only a school, but was my home, my family, my life. I was always a member of this family and will ever remain so wherever I am. During my service, I always got full support and guidance from our Principal and School and College management.
Since the day I joined this institution, I found every member of this family with me, whether it be joy or sorrow. Imparting value based education and making good citizens of India are the main objectives of Lion’s Club Educational Organization and I feel very proud to be a part of this esteemed organization. When I find my students working in good positions, I feel extremely proud that our institution has moulded the students in such a way that they could achieve such higher goals. As per my experience, I can say that the main objective of this institution is to provide quality based education to students and this institution has been hundred percent successful in this regard. I still cherish the memory of those golden days that I have spent with this prestigious organization.
God bless you all
MRS. RENUKA PANT,
Retired Teacher.
I, Swarna Seetaraman, cub of Lions Club, would like to take you through my journey which started almost 27yrs ago.
I still remember each & every moment, good or bad, right from my first step into this school which consisted of a single building, hardly with few classrooms until I had to leave after clearing my SSC. Just like I have grown up, I am happy to see my school has indeed progressed a lot, with classes up to std XII, new bunch of teachers and better facilities for the bright students. Though quite a few teachers have bid farewell, I can never forget them personally. I am what I am because of the strong foundation that these teachers had laid down. It was always learning with fun for me. My teachers have always been besides me, encouraging me to go to the next level and helped in making the right choices. Not to forget, the best time of our school days were the Picnic trips/Sports Day/Annual Gathering. I cannot forget how we used to convince our teachers for zero period class. I was always pushed ahead to do so and somehow, my innocence (which they felt) brought positive results and happy faces for me and my friends. I have never missed to be a part of Dance/Drama nor would a single Republic/Independence Day celebration be complete without my speech. Such encouragement by my teachers has brought out the best in me, made me overcome my stage fear and face the crowd with confidence. My teachers always gave us the right platform to display our talents with whatever resources they had then!
It was in the year 2005 when I had to bid farewell to my school, I was taken to SBI, Dehuroad for felicitation of Board Exam Toppers. I never thought that this first entry in this Bank would be a big step in my career. Today I am a proud employee of SBI and happy to serve people.
I take this opportunity to thank few teachers:
- Omana Mam, a lady with a cane stick, taught me discipline and leadership.
- Sarla Mam, who treats me as her daughter, taught me to be cheerful and
spread smiles. - Vaishali Mam, my science teacher, who gave me every opportunity to explore
while learning. - Pant Mam, a sweet calm composed lady, taught me to be patient in every walk
of life. - Rekha Mam, whom I thank each day for proving that a South Indian can
communicate in Marathi equally with ease like Hindi/English.(I talk in Marathi
with ease almost daily at workplace). - Late Bibi Mam, brought out the best Permutations and Combinations in my life.
- Non teaching staff viz. Rekha Aunty, Sheela Aunty and Anil Uncle, who taught
that having a degree, is not everything in life. - Prema Mam, a family member turned teacher, who pushed my parents to admit
their kids, promising a good future (and indeed true to her words).
I can sense the pride in my teachers eyes when they see me today, from being a cub of Lions Club School turned to a bold and confident Lioness, who is now also a supportive wife, a strong daughter-in-law & a caring mother.
Last but not the least, I thank my parents Mrs.Bama and Mr.Seetaraman (mandatory PTA member), who but for obvious reasons admitted me to this school, as they had already admitted their son Mr.Sreekant (student of 1st batch of Lions) to grow as the school grows.
I have been once again given a platform to explore my views through this magazine by my school. Though the list is endless, I sincerely thank each and every teacher, all the members of Lions Club and wish them all the very best!!!
