HISTORY OF LIONS CLUB EDUCATION ASSO., DEHU ROAD
Lions Club Education Association, Dehu Road was established in the year 1990 with the moto to make available the facility of quality education in English medium to the residents of Dehu Road. It was indeed the need og the hour to start such a school as intake capacity of existing schools were very much inadequate to accommodate the increasing number of students of fast developing Dehu Road. At the infant stage school had its teething problems.
However, the dedicated and devoted Lion members paved way to establish an education institution with strong foundation with a view to survive all odds and maintain its permanency. The Lions Club Education Association was registered with Charity Commissioner Pune and completed all formalities of permissions from education department of Government of Maharashtra. The school is recognized by the Govt. of Maharashtra but it is a permanently unaided institution that follows the state syllabus.
SHRI ACHARYA SAMRAT ANAND RUSHIJI MAHARAJ JUNIOR COLLEGE OF COMMERCE
JUNIOR COLLEGE OF COMMERCE
After successful implementation of English Medium School project, Junior College project was started in the year 2004 on the leased land. We obtained permission for all faculties, however due to bleak response to Science and Arts faculties it was kept on hold. Commerce is very well accepted and proved great success. Our proposal to set-up computer center, gymnasium and library was approved by Lions Club International Foundation and grant of Rs. 28 Lacs was received from them. Our state of the art building of Junior College is also provided with a big hall to accommodate 200 people for gathering/ function.
